CU-Boulder provides annual funding for outreach and engagement projects that extend research, teaching, and creative work through mutually beneficial partnerships with the community. Outreach and Community Engagement Funding Opportunities

CU-Boulder Outreach Awards: Individual Faculty
Proposals connect CU-Boulder faculty research, creative work, or teaching with external constituents. Funding up to $8,000 available.
Sponsored by the Office for Outreach & Engagement.

CU-Boulder Outreach Awards: Interdisciplinary or Interdepartmental Faculty Groups
Proposals allow teams of 2-3 faculty members to leverage their outreach efforts through interdisciplinary or interdepartmental collaboration. Funding up to $24,000 available.
Sponsored by the Office for Outreach & Engagement.

Graduate Fellows
This fellowship is designed for a cohort of 3-5 PhD students to train in the practices and principles of community-based research. Funding of approximately $14000 available to be used towards a .25 GPTI for two semesters.

Faculty Fellowships
This program provides resources and support for faculty to design a new course or modify an existing course to include a community-based learning component. Funding up to $4,000 available.
Sponsored by CU Engage.

Integrated Community-Based Award
This award supports faculty and their graduate students who are engaged in community-based research through mutually beneficial university-community partnerships. Funding up to $8,000 for individual faculty or up to $24,000 for faculty group + 1 graduate fellows available.
Jointly sponsored by the Office for Outreach and Engagement and CU Engage.

Children, Youth and Environments Participatory Research Award
Grants to support participatory research with children and youth. Funding up to $4,000 available.
Sponsored by CU Engage in partnership with the former Children, Youth Environments Center for Environmental Design.
